Intervention and
Counseling is a grass roots nonprofit program that seeks
to provide accessible, affordable, quality addictions treatment and other behavior change services to the people of Multnomah County and surrounding areas. Throughout
the program safety for adults and children who have been abused or at risk of being abused is our highest
concern. We believe these issues are
our collective responsibility and believe these statements to
be true: Domestic Violence: An
end to violence will only occur when society responds to the abuse; acknowledging full responsibility for our collective
collusion with
the beliefs of the abuser. Only then can we truly become the collaborative, coordinated community response needed to overcome domestic terrorism and other forms of family and interpersonal violence. Alcohol and Other Drug
Dependence: The stigma of addiction must be overcome by those afflicted
for society to be able to embrace the humanity of the addicted, show
compassion and not judgment, to bring healing to those
afflicted, their
